RegionalAR — Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 21, 2026

RegionalAR ("the App") is a medical imaging visualization tool for Meta Quest developed by Laurence Henson. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your information.

Information We Collect

RegionalAR does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The App does not require user accounts, login credentials, or any form of registration.

Medical Imaging Data

DICOM scan data that you load into RegionalAR is processed and stored entirely on your device. Scan files are transferred from your desktop computer to your Meta Quest headset over your local WiFi network only. No medical imaging data is transmitted to external servers, cloud services, or third parties.

Network Usage

The App uses your local network (WiFi) solely for the purpose of receiving scan files from the companion RegionalAR Desktop application running on your computer. This communication occurs exclusively within your local network. The App does not access the internet, connect to remote servers, or transmit any data outside your local network.

Analytics and Tracking

RegionalAR does not include any analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or tracking software. No usage data is collected or shared.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third-party services, advertising networks, or data brokers.

Data Storage

All application data, including downloaded scan volumes and user preferences, is stored locally on your Meta Quest device. You can delete this data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing its storage through the device settings.

Children's Privacy

RegionalAR is designed for medical professionals and students. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Medical Disclaimer

RegionalAR is an educational and training tool. It is not intended for clinical diagnosis, treatment planning, or patient care. The visualizations provided are for educational purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical judgment.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
